On the basis of collecting monitoring data of vertical bearing capacity of PHC piles in Sichuan, the reasons of low use of bearing capacity of driven PHC piles in the current gravel areas are studied by the survey, design and testing etc. Meanwhile, according to test results of static load test and monitoring of stress and strain of PHC piles in the limit state in the gravel soil from medium dense to dense, values of ultimate bearing capacity, distribution of side stress-strain of PHC piles, influence of tip resistance and side stress-strain of pile on the ultimate bearing capacity and experience factor of increased ultimate tip resistance of piles are obtained. In a word, those can make a reference for survey and design of PHC piles in Chengdu gravel areas. Source

Based on the engineering characteristics of red clay in Kunming Airport and the principle of ground treatment by stamping, impact rolling experiment is carried out by technology of impact compaction. Meanwhile, effect of impact compaction treatment is studied base on the in-situ settlement observation of foundation, tests of density, dynamic penetration of light cone and static sounding and continuous detection system of stamping reaction CIR. In addition, it is obtained that the impact compaction method is fit for red clay and improves the bearing capacity and influence depth of the density of foundation soil. Relationship between times of impact rolling and density and bearing capacity of red clay foundation after treatment is also abstained. In a word, it can provide reference for design and construction technology of large area of red clay ground treatment in Kunming Airport. Source
