Gas well Guan-4 underwent six stages of exploitation in 22 years of production and was treated by injecting an oil soluble corrosion inhibitor(OSCI) 22 times in amount of 445 kg tolally at some stage. The highest gas productivity reached was of 3. 626 x 105 m3 per day and an average productivity of 1.7 x 104 m3 per day was kept by using some measures before the blockage release treatments. An analysis of abnormalities in production showed that serious blockages were created in the near bore zones of pay layers, in the well bottom of annulus, and in and at apertures of the sieve tube. The blockages comprised OSCI, residue of acid filtrate, and oily substances,the latere were composed of mainly organics (96.6%) and of ferrous sulfides. A Fuji's commercial blockage releasing agent, UT3-2, was selected and UT3-2 and produced oily substances(of viscosity 185 mPa·s) mixed in equal mass ratio formed fairly stable emulsion of viscosity 1 mPa·s. From Feb 11 to Feb 18, 2009 UT3-2 was introduced through tube to the well bottom 5 times in amount of 200-600 kg each time and of 2200 kg totally and in result 16.7 m3 acidic liquor with black viscous mass was removed from the well,the difference between tube and casing pressures was lowered down to 0. 67 MPa and the gas output was restarted according to a given productivity of 5.0 x 104 m3 per day with acidic liquor and viscous mass being produced yet. From March 12 to March 18, 2009 UT3-2 was introduced again 4 times in amount of 400-600 kg per each time and of 1800 kg totally ,40.0 m3 of acidic liquor with viscous mass was removed from the well and the difference between tube and casing pressures was lowered down to 0.52 MPa. After this well Guan-4 started gas output according to a set productivity of 6. 0 x 105 m3 per day with water produced at a rate of 1.2-2.4 m3 per day and withdrawn by gas stream to the surface.

The technology of foaming drainage gas recovery is a significant method of efficiently developing such a gas field with water production, and the selection and application of a proper defoaming agent is crucially important. Therefore, concerning the application status of this technology and the application restriction of liquid defoaming agents, two patents of FG-4 series solid defoaming agent and associated dosing device were successfully developed and applied to the wells in oil and gas fields operated by the PetroChina in Southwest China, Changqing, Qinghai, Jilin, etc. The application results were concluded as follows. First, this solid defoaming technology meets the requirement of defoaming in foaming drainage wells, and the defoaming effect on the wells with water yield up to 1-30 m3/d complies with technical requirement. Second, the dosing periods vary with different well conditions, and the agent is added once in every 5 to 15 days, and the dosage is 2 to 6 pieces for each time, which is convenient for the management especially at those unattended stations. Third, the solid defoaming agent has a sufficient contact with the foam inside the device with a comparatively good foam breaking and inhibition performance. Additionally, because this agent is consumed only when the air stream carries the foam liquid out, the comprehensive cost is saved by 20 to 30% compared with the liquid deforming agent. The solid defoaming device runs stably and its simple and easy operation results in neither energy consumption nor sewage quantity added, which really realizes energy conservation and emission reduction and brings good economic and social benefits as a result.
