The measurement fee is very expensive for channel depth by traditional method, and in many case the measurement cannot be executed by big measurement boat because of adlittoral position. A new measurement method is introduced in this paper, which depends on smaller telecontrol boat. There is a measurement system which is installed on remote surveillance, it can manually remote measure or automatic measure with GPS navigation, the boat is shallow, speedy, stabilized, and it can be tellcontroled in far distant away. Because it has double dynamical systems, and automatically switched in emergency case, so high safety is guaranteed for this equipment. It has achieved a great successful since it is put into service.

This paper proposes a construction of Yichang flow discharge with the middle channel maintenance dimension method. Using long-term observation data, by establishing the water level regression equation of Yichang flow discharge and middle site level, combined with the actual mapping data, the corresponding relationship between Yichang flow discharge and long-distance river maintenance dimension of middle channel of Yangtze. The results of this study could provide the theoretical basis on the optimization of the three gorges reservoir scheduling scheme, reasonable channel maintenance dimension in the middle reach of Yangtze River.

Simulation is one of effective tools for assessment of waterway designing. The system constitution and procedure of waterway simulation are introduced, and key technologies of waterway simulation system are analyzed, including vessel dynamics modeling, vessel traffic flow modeling, waterway scenery modeling, assessment methods, and so on. In this paper, a ITO algorithm inspired by ITO stochastic process is proposed for Traveling Salesmen Problems (TSP), so far, many meta-heuristic methods have been successfully applied to TSP, however, as a member of them, ITO needs further demonstration for TSP. So starting from designing the key operators, which include the move operator, wave operator, etc, the method based on ITO for TSP is presented, and moreover, the ITO algorithm performance under different parameter sets and the maintenance of population diversity information are also studied. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Since dozens years ago, various metaheuristic methods, such as genetic algorithm, ant colony algorithms, have been successfully applied to combinational optimization problem. However, as one of the members, ITO algorithm has only been employed in continuous optimization, it needs further design for combinational optimization problem. In this paper, a discrete ITO algorithm inspired by ITO stochastic process is proposed for travelling salesman problems (TSPs). Some key operators, such as move operator, wave operator, are redesigned to adapt to combinational optimization. Moreover, the performance of ITO algorithm in different parameter selections and the maintenance of population diversity information are also studied. By combining local search methods (such as 2-opt and LK-opt) with ITO algorithm, our computational results of the TSP problems show that ITO algorithm is currently one of the best-performing algorithms for these problems. © 2015 World Scientific Publishing Company.
