The recycling and preparation of zinc oxide from the industrial wastewater is studied. The effects of pH, the aging time, the time of adding potassium permanganate, the amount of sodium carbonate and calcination temperature on the quality of zinc oxide are studied. The optimal process parameters are shown as follows: 5.4 of pH, 80°C of material liquid when adding potassium permanganate, 4 h of aging time, 2. 5 g sodium carbonate per 100 mL material liquid and 800°C of calcination temperature. The white oxide zinc with 99. 89% of purity can be obtained under the optimal condition.
