Designing an effective and high performance network requires accurate characterization and modeling of network traffic. This paper provides a study of the transmission, modeling, and analysis of variable bit rate (VBR) video, which is fundamental for designing protocols and for effective utilization of networks in video transmission. To meet the specified requirements of future networks, the scalable video codec (SVC) was chosen as the video compression standard. The main objective of this work was to propose a statistical model that will allow better coordination between generated SVC video traffic and original video traffic. The performance of the proposed model was evaluated by comparing the model with three existing low-complex statistical models using graphical and statistical measurements as well as cross-validation. For all evaluation techniques, the accuracy of the proposed model was evaluated, and the frame size distribution of the modeled traffic was found to match that of the original video traffic better than other existing models. Background: Achieving compatibility indices is an important goal for the banks to guarantee customer satisfaction and achieve advantage. The present study aimed to identify the Interacting indices on compatibility in Iran bank system. Objective: The present study is descriptive-survey design. After the library study and extraction of effective factors on compatibility, common indices were extracted by Delphi method and they were classified into 5 dimensions and 25 indices. By DEMATEL method, the indices were prioritized and the Interacting indices were analyzed by MATLAB software. Results: According to the results, equity and assets in a bank are the most effective factors in compatibility among other factors and online branches and knowledge capital of human resources is the most impressed factor in compatibility in a bank. Based on the next effective factors, loans, the number of pin pads of the branches, the number of foreign branches, share of long-term deposit, profit ratio to assets, share of branches and short-term deposit are important factors of banks compatibility. The other factors impressed on banks compatibility are including share of foreign exchange guaranty, non-joint revenue and lawyers fee, human resources experience, share of joint revenues, share of foreign exchange draft, the number of ATMs, share of foreign exchange sale and purchase, net profit, share of other deposits, share of Letter Credits (LC), the number of employees, the number of issued cards, the number of swift branches and share of current deposit and all are more impressed than other factors in banks compatibility. © 2014 AENSI Publisher All rights reserved.

This research investigated the possibility of the replacement of printed reference sources by free electronic reference sources. A content analysis method was carried out on 25 printed reference sources (out of 1364 titles available in Ferdowsi University libraries) including 5 encyclopedias, 5 atlases, 5 biographies, 5 dictionaries and 5 directories. For each printed source, a similar electronic one was selected and examined. In both printed and free electronic reference source, 5 entries (250 in total) were analyzed according to checklists to see if they match the content as well as the structural criteria. The scores obtained to each entry in free electronic sources as well as those in printed ones were compared. Findings showed that: 1. There is a significant difference between the scores obtained from the entry analysis in free electronic sources and those in printed sources implying that free electronic sources have more capabilities in answering reference questions. Therefore, free electronic reference sources have considerable capacity to replace printed reference sources. 2. There is significant difference between the scores obtained from the analysis of the quality of indexes of the content of printed sources as well as those of free electronic ones. From the content point of view free electronic reference sources are more capable in fulfilling reference questions than their equivalent printed sources. 3. There is a significant difference between scores obtained for the structure of printed sources and electronic sources. From a structural point of view, free electronic reference sources have more capacity to fulfill reference questions than their similar printed reference sources.
