A new atmospheric electromagnetic plasmadynamic system, pulsed-periodic plasmatron, operating at standard atmospheric pressure with high frequency has been developed. In this system plasma flow velocity reaches 3-5·10 3 m/s with temperature up to 15·103 K. The results are presented on the use of the pulsed-periodic plasmatron for surface layer modification and particles acceleration. © 2012 IEEE. Source

Numerical investigations of the aerodynamic characteristics and the flows around slender axisymmetric bodies in wide parameters range: M∞=0.÷10., α=0°÷180° are considered. Various numerical, theoretical and engineering methods are applied to calculate aerodynamic characteristics of two buster configurations.
