The present study was conducted to study the extent of labour use pattern and the growth of labour use in Haryana agriculture (kharif and rabi seasons) over a period of 20 years (1990-2010). The study was based on the reports of Senior Extension Specialists (Farm Management), presented and discussed in the Agricultural Officers' Workshop (kharif and rabi seasons) each year, published by Directorate of Extension Education, CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. The data on the number of human, bullock and tractor hours used for various farm operations for important kharif and rabi crops were collected for the period 1990-2010. The results of the study revealed that the farm mechanization gave a boost to the labour employment in Haryana agriculture. However, the expenditure on human labour as well as hiring of tractor power increased to a considerable extent.
