With the oilfield entering the middle and later development period, geologic condition begins deteriorating, and the leakage phenomenon of wellbore for oil and water wells is widespread, which brings many difficulties for the down-hole work. At the same time, with the continuous development of drilling technology progress, high angle wells and horizontal wells are deployed in oilfield, making the later workover operation, especially the circulation work such as washover or milling, has a big risk. The high temperature and high pressure surface test has difficulties of high formation pressure, high temperature, containing H2S and CO2, being easy of sand production, being easy to form natural gas hydrates. If the operation equipment and process cannot be reasonably designed, it may lead to flow leakage, even to be fire explosion, operation of it has a big safety risks. According to need of surface test to NiuDong buried hill reservoir, optimization and implementation effect of the high-pressure oil sulfur fully enclosed surface measurement process is illustrated. In order to solve hazards and safety problems of high pressure leakage, and hydrogen sulfide poisoning and gas explosion to equipment, personnel caused by high risk test condition of high pressure, high temperature, high yield of condensate oil and gas, containing hydrogen sulfide in NiuDong buried hill, the effective solutions are put forward which can better meet the needs of surface test to the high temperature and high pressure well. ©, 2015, Well Testing. Comparison analysis for the conventional testing technique and injection/pressure drop technology applied in exploration and development of coal-bed methane is discussed. By actual test interpretation to Huo U1-1 well, permeability of coal is understood and the coal properties and completion quality are evaluated, which provides a reliable basis for the production potential and development testing of this well. The successful test also provides an effective evaluation method for this technology subsequently applied in coal-bed methane testing.
