In this paper, the signal to noise ratio (SNR) of projected capacitive (pro-cap) touch screen and the touch pattern designs to affect the SNR are discussed. Meanwhile, we simulate the influence of the resistance and capacitance on SNR. Simulation results verify that Clothes Pattern is better than the traditional Diamond Pattern on improvement of SNR.

As one of the most frequent Mura defect in Fringe-Field Switching Liquid Crystal Display (FFS LCD), the liquid crystal (LC) drop Mura was analyzed in this paper. Three aspects were investigated: rubbing process, polyimide layer, rubbing cloth. It's confirmed that Drop Mura is caused by the weaker anchoring of polyimide (PI) alignment to LC molecule. Pros/ably, three approaches are feasible to improve Drop Mura: 1. increasing rubbing pressure, 2. densifying or reinforcing the fibres of rubbing cloth, 3. tuning the composition of PI to obtain largish pretilt angle.

By using Si-C resin, we succeeded in prototyping a high definition LCD panel, retina display as 300 pixels per inch, which improves the RC delay of signal effectively and decreases nearly 40% in the logic power consumption compared to the exiting panel with SiNx passivation layer.

Rubbing Mura in fringe field switching liquid crystal display (FFS LCD) was thoroughly analyzed in this paper. We investigated the influences of rubbing parameters and the properties of polyimide (PI) layer and rubbing cloth. Accordingly, mechanism of rubbing Mura was clarified. Provably, it can significant improve rubbing Mura that using cellulose-based cloth to rub the PI with the potency of high retardation. Afterwards, as a result of the new rubbing method, the defect of Zara particle was further analyzed and effectively solved. © 2013 Society for Information Display.

In this paper, the uncured sealant contaminating liquid crystal (USCLC) in one drop filling (ODF) process for thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) producing was studied. Sealant idle time (from sealant dispensing to alignment) and LC idle time (from LC filling to alignment) was investigated. The uncured sealant maintained its shape, cross section and no material spreading on substrate after dispensing for even 60 minutes. LC idle time of 30 minutes would lead to serious USCLC which was observed and detected by microscope and liquid chromatograph-mass spectrometer (LC-MS). It was proposed that the expanding LC on substrate approached to edge sealant during LC idle time. The contacting time of uncured sealant and LC was increased in the following process. Thus, besides UV idle time (from UV curing to alignment,) LC idle time was of importance for USCLC. Additionally, LC penetrating deformation of uncured sealant (LC penetrating) was proved to be no direct relation to USCLC. © 2013 Society for Information Display.

Light leakage is one of the main issues which always happens not only at system side but also LCD manufacture internal authentication process. It delays LCD design schedule, takes bad influence on product quality reputation, brings big loss to both LCD and system manufacturers. Therefore, It's necessary to find out the mechanism of light leakage and corresponding solutions. In this paper, light leakage phenomenon definition, classification, mechanism and some sohlt ions on LCD are presented, One of the most effective solutions is adding dark print to optical sheet, The appropriate width of dark print in model 15.6 and 14.0 is studied experimentally.

Relation between image sticking and storage capacitance of TFT-LCD is investigated in the paper. Big storage capacitance is beneficial to the disappear speed of image sticking at room temperature and stable variation trend of image sticking at high temperature because of relatively small feedthrough voltage.

A display panel is discloses. A gate line and a gate connection line of an array substrate are disposed perpendicular to each other. A passivation layer is formed on a side of a source electrode or a drain electrode of the array substrate which is close to the color filter substrate. A first via hole is disposed in the passivation layer. A color filter substrate includes a first substrate, and a data line parallel to the gate connection line is formed on a side of the first substrate which is close to the array substrate. A protection layer, a black matrix and a common electrode are sequentially formed on a side of the data line which is close to the array substrate. A second via hole is disposed in a region of the protection layer, the black matrix and the common electrode which corresponds to the data line. A first end of a conductive spacer is connected to the source electrode or the drain electrode by way of the first via hole, a second end of the conductive spacer is connected to the data line by way of the second via hole. A method for fabricating a display panel and a display device are further disclosed.
