Black Cat | Date: 2017-02-01

A wear member attachment system for an excavation implement lip can include a wear member that protects an edge of the lip, and a wear member adapter that attaches the wear member to the lip, the wear member adapter being secured to the lip by a fastener, and the wear member being secured to the wear member adapter by another fastener. A method of protecting an excavation implement lip can include securing a wear member adapter to the implement, the wear member adapter including at least one receptacle, and inserting a protrusion on a wear member into the receptacle. Another system can include a wear member that protects a forward edge of a lip, and a wear member adapter that attaches the wear member to the lip between two adjacent teeth. The wear member can comprise a shroud and the adapter can wrap about an edge of the lip.

A fully stabilized excavator tooth attachment. An excavator tooth (18) includes a nose-receiving pocket (24) bounded by an inner end, upper and lower, and opposing side walls (38, 34, 36, 30), the end wall (38) having a nose-engaging interface surface formed orthogonal to a longitudinal axis of the tooth, at least one of the side walls having a fastener opening formed therethrough, and each of the upper and lower walls having two spaced apart nose-engaging interface surfaces formed thereon substantially parallel to each other. Another excavator tooth includes side walls having generally planar nose-engaging interface surfaces formed therein, one surface resisting rotation of the tooth about the longitudinal axis in one direction, and another interface surface resisting rotation of the tooth in an opposite direction. An attachment system includes a fastener (26) configured for releasably securing the tooth on the nose, the fastener having a thread (88) which is eccentric relative to a body (86) of the fastener.

A wear member attachment system for an excavation implement can include a retainer with an abutment that engages a forward side of an opening extending through a lip of the excavation implement, the retainer further including a cam. Rotation of the cam displaces the abutment forward relative to a body of the retainer. Another wear member attachment system can include a retainer with a cam and an abutment. Rotation of the cam displaces the abutment outward relative to a body of the retainer. The abutment displacement is in a direction orthogonal to an axis of rotation of the cam.

A labeling system for use on a human surgical patient is disclosed. The labeling system includes a label with a main sheet that has a top and bottom surface. An adhesive that is suitable for adhering to the skin of a patient may be present on the bottom surface of the main sheet. Readable indicia may be visible on the top surface or through the top surface of the main sheet. The readable indicia may include affirmative indicia indicating a location for surgery and/or negative indicia indicating a location not for surgery.

A mobile cart includes a cart frame, a base, wheels rotatably attached to the frame and a cabinet separating the base surface into first and second receiving areas. A first container, containing a first material, and a second container, containing a second material, are positionable in the first and second receiving areas. A first sliding rack and a second sliding rack for securing vessels above the base surface are moveable between stowed positions at least partially within the cabinet and extended positions in the first and second receiving areas, respectively. The cart can alternatively receive one of the first container or first vessel in the first receiving area and one of the second container or second vessel in the second receiving area. A combination mixer and dispenser is releasably secured to the frame and releasably fluidly coupled to the first and second containers and first and second vessels.

A mobile cart includes a cart frame, wheels rotatably attached to the frame and feet projecting from the frame to an underlying support surface. A carrier tray is fixedly secured atop the cart frame, having a generally planar tray base, a front wall extending upwardly from the front end of the tray base and a cavity. A first container, containing a first material, and a second container, containing a second material, are positioned in the cavity. A combination mixer and dispenser is releasably secured to the frame and releasably fluidly coupled to the first and second containers. The cart is tiltable between a generally horizontal position and a generally vertical position. The front wall of the tray is angled from the tray base such that the front wall lies against the support surface in the generally vertical position, stabilizing the cart for container loading and unloading.
