The silicon nitride ceramics with a beneficial combination of low dielectric losses and improved physical properties was fabricated by cold isostatic pressing and pressureless sintering. The fine grain microstructure, three-phase composition based on the β-SiAlON, the small amount of the glass phase and relatively small porosity promote a unique combination of a low thermal conductivity 14.51Wm-1 K-1 and low dielectric loss 1.4·10-3. A novel method is proposed to overcome the main drawbacks of the commercial and high-cost technologies. © 2017.

There is offered the method of protection of capital support of ventilation-auxiliary shaft from agressive impact of underground waters of Middle-Cambrian water-bearing complex in complicate hydrogeological conditions of open-cast and underground mining of Udachnaya kimbelite pipe in the range zone of permafrost (in the northern part of Yakutia). Such protection is carried out by the decreasing of the level of underground waters in the area of shaft by drainage complex of back holes. Underground waters of Middle-Cambrian water-bearing complex are high-pressure. These waters are characterized by high mineralization and gas saturation. Method of numerical modeling with application of the MODFLOW program of GMS system was used for the purpose of substantiation of this method of shaft protection from aggressive impact of underground waters. There was made a calculation hydrogeological scheme of the area of filtration of underground waters of the researched region. There were specified the filtration parameters of waterbearing rocks of Middle-Cambrian water-bearing complex on the stage of solving of opposite problem. The distribution of the level of underground waters of Middle-Cambrian water-bearing complex on the model of regional and local scales was obtained, according to the results of forecast task. There was defined the necessary amount of rising drainage holes with stated production capacity, required for the reaching of efficient decreasing of the level of underground waters in the area of vertical shaft of Udachny underground mine.

A list of 30 species of the family Tabanidae recorded in Belgorod Province is provided, and data on the landscape-zonal distribution, typical biotopes, and dates of flight in the region are given for each species. The greatest number of horsefly species (24) was recorded in the southern forest-steppe subzone, and smaller numbers, in the central forest-steppe subzone (18) and the steppe zone (16). Half of the forest and forest-steppe species extend into the steppe zone while some southern species penetrate into the forest-steppe zone. The pattern of horsefly distribution is determined by the biotopic conditions. The boundaries of distribution of individual species do not distinctly correspond to those of the landscape subzones. © 2016, Pleiades Publishing, Inc.

The mechanical and elastic properties of new silicon nitride fabricated by cold isostatic pressing and free sintering are considered. Young's modulus, Poisson's ratio and shear modulus of investigated ceramic were determined. An indentation technique for measuring the indentation modulus was developed. The flexural strength, the compressive strength and the fracture toughness were investigated. Young's modulus of the obtained material was 240GPa by resonance and 214GPa by mechanical tests. The microhardness was 1380 HV0.5 and 970 HK2.5. Obtained silicon nitride ceramic is one of a candidate material for a wide range of structural applications due to its high density (2.94g/cm3) and low open porosity (0.1%). © 2015 Elsevier Ltd and Techna Group S.r.l.

Abstract Using the previously proposed method of calculating diffracted photon yields in thin perfect crystals, analyzed a relative contribution of parametric X-ray radiation and diffracted photons in thin crystals. It is shown that for average energy of electrons and the center of the PXR spot diffracted real photon contribution is comparable to the yield of parametric X-ray radiation and determines the shape of the angular distribution of the total emission in this range of observation angles. The possibility of estimating electron beams parameters based on the results of PXR angular distribution measurements is discussed. It is shown that for energy of electrons by far larger than 1 GeV yield of diffracted transition radiation in narrow angular cone becomes predominating and determines the shape of the angular distribution of total emission in the center of radiation spot. © 2015 Published by Elsevier B.V.

In the present work a theory of coherent radiation of a relativistic electron moving at a constant speed in a combined target, consisting of several amorphous matter layers and a monocrystalline layer is built. The expressions describing the amplitudes of diffracted transition radiation (DTR) and parametric X-ray radiation (PXR) are derived within the framework of two-wave approach of the dynamic diffraction theory. The cases of one and two amorphous matter layers in the structure were considered. Also the extreme case, when vacuum is considered as the second amorphous layer in the structure, is investigated. The expressions obtained describe a spectral-angular distribution of DTR, PXR and their interference in such a structure. The X-ray wave generation and propagation processes in crystalline layer are considered in Laue scattering geometry for the general case of asymmetric reflection. © 2015 Published by Elsevier B.V.

In this study we examined evolutionary processes in the populations of small mobile animal species, the terrestrial mollusks Chondrula tridens Müll. (Ch. tridens) in the urbanized landscape. We applied PCR methodology, using the RAPD and ISSR DNA markers, to define the genetic structure in the Ch. tridens populations, inhabiting the Mid-Russian Upland. Analysis of the obtained DNA patterns uncovered the presence of both polymorphic and monomorphic alleles. Based on this data, we defined the levels of genetic variability in the studied Ch. tridens populations, and determined the factors affecting formation of the population’s gene pool in this species. We present our conclusions on the genome structure and gene pool distribution in the populations of the Ch. tridens in the urbanized landscape. © 2014, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

There were detected associations between genetic polymorphisms IL-6 c.-237 C>G (rs1800795), SDF-1 c.*519 G>A (rs1801157), MIP-1v{cyrillic} c.*524 A>T (rs1719153), IL-10 c.-627 A>C (rs180082), RANTES c.- 471 G>A (rs 2107538), IL-1β c.-598 T>C (rs16944) and I-TAC c.*1539 T>C (rs4512021) and their combinations and development of genital endometriosis among women in the Central region of Russia.

Based on the analysis of the morphological and genetic variability detected by the method of the protein gel electrophoresis in PAAG, the gene pool state of twelve adventive Helix pomatia L. grape snail populations under the conditions of urbanized landscapes of south-eastern and eastern parts of the modern area. According to the data obtained, most of the studied populations of this mollusk are in a satisfactory state. This is illustrated by the large values of their efficient numbers, the high level of heterozygosity, and decreased inbreeding. The structure of the population gene pools of the grape snail in the researched region is determined by their origin, genetic-automatic processes, and microclimatic conditions of the urban environment. © 2016, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.


Studies on the gene pool structure in ten populations of the bush snail Bradybaena fruticum Müll. inhabiting the southern Central Russian Upland were performed with a time interval of 14 years, in 1996 and 2010. Significant changes were revealed in allele frequencies and the level of genetic diversity. Using the temporal method (Krimbas and Tsakas, 1971; Nei and Tajima, 1981), the effective population size was calculated for the studied groups of mollusks. Specific features of the metapopulation structure of Br. fruticum in an urbanized landscape are discussed. © 2015, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
