The first running state of 0.5 million t/a gasoline hydrogenation unit using the second generation selective hydrodesulfurization technology (CDOS-FRCN II) for all distillate is introduced. The operation process of CDOS-FRCN II technology is simple. It removes the weight fraction cutting for catalytic gasoline and has other advantages such as lose cost, lower energy consumption and flexible operation. In addition, the selective hydrogenation catalyst HDDO-100, selective hydrodesulfurization catalyst HDMS-100 and the protective agent series HCP-100, HCP-200 and HCP-300 for CDOS-FRCN II technology are also provided. The running results show that the technology can meet the technical requirements for the China V gasoline products with sulphur ≤10 μg/g, olefin volume content ≤24% and RON ≥93. ©, 2015, China National Chemical Information Center. The development of CDOS technology and its application in selective hydrodesulfurization of full range gasoline are introduced. The industrial application results show that CDOS technology can solve the problem about upgrading the quality of gasoline and produce the gasoline meeting National Emission Standard V. The startup procedure and running results of CDOS-FRCN technology applied to hydrodesulfurization unit of Huizhou Refinery Co. CNOOC are reviewed. The results show that the sulfur content decreases from 320-336 μg/g to 10-17 μg/g, and RON loss is only 0.8-1.4. It can meet the standard V, in which sulfur content is required less than 10 μg/g. CDOS-FRCN technology can save technology investment above 25% and reduce energy consumption about 30%-50% compared with traditional selective hydrodesulfurization technology.

The full range gasoline selective hydrodesulfurization technology (CDOS-FRCN) which is co-developed by Huizhou Refinery Co. CNOOC (Hereinafter referred to as: Huilian) and Beijing Haishunde Titanium Catalyst Co. (Hereinafter referred to as Haishunde), is adopted by the new 50 Mt/a gasoline hydrodesulfurization unit. This technology does not need separation and has the characteristic of saving investment, reducing energy consumption, high desulphurization selectivity and small octane number loss. The technology is especially appropriate for processing Huilian catalytic gasoline. When sulfur contents is less than 450 μg/g in feedstock, the gasoline with sulfur content less than 20 μg/g and RON loss less than 1.5 can be obtained.
