A new method was proposed based on motor nameplate and particle swarm optimization (PSO) for identification of motor equivalent circuit parameters. The method effectively solved to present problems of motor equivalent circuit parameters identification method. An accurate motor equivalent circuit was built by introducing an equivalent stray-loss resistance, mechanical loss, and slip loss of ring brushes for wound motor. An identification optimization model of equivalent circuit was established based on motor nameplate parameters and motor equivalent circuit's calculating parameters. Solving optimization model with PSO was achieved a higher probability optimization goals. The motor electrical parameters were calculatd at different speeds with the equivalent circuit identified parameters and compared with the measured values. Experimental results show that proposed parameter identification method based on motor nameplate parameters and combining PSO optimization method is effective. © 2016, The Editorial Board of Journal of System Simulation. According to the topology of conventional chopper cascade speed system, the transient process of main loop during of contactor operation was analyzed when device failed. Because the contactor action required a longer time, equipment was vulnerable to the impact of high voltage, high current during the contactor action, which caused damage to power electronic devices. For contactors' drawbacks, the main circuit topology with electronic protection circuit was designed. Then transient process of conventional chopper cascade speed system and chopper cascade speed system with electronic protection circuit under high voltage power failure conditions was analyzed, and theoretics was detailedly deduced. The basis of theoretical analysis under high-voltage power failure condition was obtained. Simulation model of conventional chopper cascade speed system and with electronic protection circuit was built respectively in Matlab. Simulation results show that electronic protection circuits effectively solve the problem of high-voltage power failure under active inverter structure and inverter subversion. ©, 2015, Chinese Association for System Simulation.
