Disclosed herein is a power transmission belt (B) having a cord (14) embedded in a belt body (10) made of rubber. The cord (14) is configured as a plied yarn with a total fiber fineness of 4000 to 5000 dtex. The plied yarn consists of four primarily-twisted yarns, each being obtained by subjecting a bundle of para-aramid fibers with a fiber fineness of 1000 to 1250 dtex to a primary twist in one direction at a twist coefficient of 1200 to 1350, and these four primarily-twisted yarns are then secondarily twisted in the opposite direction to the primary twist at a twist coefficient of 900 to 1100, thereby obtaining the plied yarn.

A belt transmission system comprises: a first pulley; a second pulley; a belt; and an automatic tensioner having a first tension pulley and a second tension pulley applying tension to a portion of the belt located at a tension side and a portion of the belt located at a slack side of the belt, and an arm. Force from the belt makes the first tension pulley and the second tension pulley rotate in the same direction. When the first tension pulley rotates in a direction tensioning the belt, the second tension pulley also rotates in a direction tensioning the belt.

An abrasive film includes a substrate and an abrasive layer overlaid on a top face side thereof, the abrasive layer including a resin binder and abrasive particles dispersed in the resin binder; the content of abrasive particles having a primary particle size of no less than 70 nm being no less than 10% by mass and no greater than 50% by mass with respect to the total abrasive particles; the content of the abrasive particles in the abrasive layer being no less than 84% by mass; and the indentation hardness of the abrasive layer being no greater than 370 N/mm^(2). The abrasive particles are preferably silica particles. An average thickness of the abrasive layer is preferably no less than 4 m and no greater than 15 m.

A double-cogged V-belt disclosed herein includes an endless cord-embedded portion 110 having a cord 112 embedded therein, a lower cogged portion 120 forming an integral part of the cord-embedded portion 110 on an inner peripheral surface thereof, and an upper cogged portion 130 forming an integral part of the cord-embedded portion 110 on an outer peripheral surface thereof The cord 112 causes a shrinkage of 1.2 % to 2.0 % when subjected to a thermal treatment at 120C for an hour. A rubber composition constituting the lower and upper cogged portions 120 and 130 has a hardness of less than 90 degrees.

A power transmission belt has a front rubber face and a back rubber surface. The back rubber surface has an uneven surface of rubber which, when the power transmission belt is wound around a flat pulley, comes in contact with the flat pulley. The uneven surface of rubber has a pattern created by a mold having an impression of a surface of a woven fabric or a knitted fabric. The impression has projected parts and recessed parts, and each of the projected parts has a flat top surface. The power transmission belt is wound around a number of pulleys in a belt transmission system in which the pulleys include a flat pulley with which the uneven surface of the power transmission belt comes in contact.

A method of manufacturing a power transmission belt includes: molding and vulcanizing an endless tension member layer in which a cord extending in a belt length direction is embedded; molding and vulcanizing a rubber member for a compressed rubber layer; and bonding together the tension member layer that has been vulcanized and the rubber member, that has been vulcanized, for the compressed rubber layer.
