The morphology of silver particles deposited on ITO-glass surface by pulse electrolysis in acetonitrile solutions of AgNO3 has been analyzed. The influences of potential value (E) as well pulse duration (τon) and pause (τoff) on the size and geometry of the particles has been discussed. It has been shown that in the range of 0.0 ≤ E ≤ -1.5 V at τon = 6 ms and 90 ≤ τoff ≤ 490 ms formation of silver particles (∼20-50 nm) and their agglomeration (∼0.2-2 μm) take place. The tendency to increase size of the particles in 3D has been observed with the increase of cathode potential. Decreasing of duty cycle leads to more discrete deposited particles. © 2013 Versita Warsaw and Springer-Verlag Wien.

We have done the studies of the photoinduced absorption and of the related second harmonic generation (SHG) for the (Formula presented.) (where Me=Cu, Mn). We have found substantial changes of the absorption under influence of the continuous wave lasers. The changes of the photoinduced optical SHG were stimulated by the two bicolour laser coherent beams. The results presented show that for the nanosecond 1,064 nm Nd:YAG laser beam principal changes were observed for the Cu-containing samples. The diethyl ammonium samples doped by Mn and Cu have shown substantially higher photo induced SHG up to the other samples. Simultaneously we have studied the pump-probe and size dependences. However for all the cases principal role was played by the octahedral MeCl6. Relation with the trapping levels actively interaction with phonon modes is principal here. © 2014, Springer Science+Business Media New York.

The phase equilibria in the Zr-Co-Sb ternary system were studied at 873 K by means of X-ray and metallographic analyses in the whole concentration range. The interaction between the elements results the formation of four ternary compounds at investigated temperature: ZrCoSb (MgAgAs-type), Zr 6CoSb2 (K2UF6-type), Zr 5CoSb3 (Hf5CuSn3-type) and Zr 5Co0.5Sb2.5 (W5Si3-type). The limited composition Zr5CoSb3 of the solid solution based on the Zr5Sb3-4 binaries is considered as compound with Hf5CuSn3 structure type. The influence of the disordering and defects in the crystal structure of ZrCoSb on the physical properties was analyzed. The performed electronic structure calculations are in good agreement with electrical and magnetic studies. © 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

A solid-phase mechanochemical technology of production of polycrystalline InSe intercalated with Ni up to 1.25 at. % has been developed. The x-ray and phase analyses of the produced NixInSe samples confirm their homogeneity and demonstrate a nonmonotonic Ni-content dependence of the lattice constant along the axis normal to the layers. Analysis of the low-temperature (77 K) impedance response within the frequency region 10 -3-10 6 Hz shows a good correlation between the change in interlayer distance and in the band conductivity observed with increasing Ni concentration. However, the Ni concentration dependence of specific magnetization demonstrates an irregular increase at x ~ 1 and does not coincide with the former. Such behavior is explained by the proposed theoretical model, which at the same time unveiled the mechanism behind the increasing contribution of free carrier concentration to conductivity - hybridization of electron orbitals of guest nickel and the lattice layers. © 2012 American Institute of Physics.
