Similarity measure for multivariate time series is a hot topic in the area of data mining. However, existing algorithms of similarity measure cannot resolve the contradiction between matching accuracy and computational complexity. We propose a novel similarity measure for multivariate time series. First, important points are extracted from multivariate time series. Then, a similarity measure based on dynamic time warping is proposed. Finally, the performance of our proposed method and other popular approaches is compared. The experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively measure the similarity of multivariate time series at relatively lower computational cost. © 2016 ACM.

In this paper, a new auxiliary function with one parameter for box constraint is proposed. It can escape from the current local minimizer to arrive at a lower local minimizer and can finally go to a global optimal solution. First, a new definition of the filled function for box constrained minimization problem is given, and under mild assumptions, this new auxiliary function can be proved to be a filled function. Then a new solution algorithm is proposed according to the theoretical analysis. And some numerical results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm. © 2012 IEEE.

Based on swarm intelligence of a pach of wolves, inspiring by their hunting behaviors and distributive mode for prey, this paper abstracts three intelligent behaviors, scouting, summoning and beleaguering, and deduces a productive rule for leading wolf that the winner can dominate its all and a renewable mechaism, named survival of the stronger, for a pack of wolves. From the above, a new heuristic swarm intelligent method, wolf pack algorithm (WPA) is proposed. Moreover, this algorithm's global probability convergence is proved based on the theory of Markov chain. Then the proposed algorithm is applied to 15 typical complex function optimization problems, and compared with three classical intelligent algorithms, particle swarm optimization algorithm, artificial fish swarm algorithm and genetic algorithm. Simulation results show that WPA has better global convergence and computational robustness, and is especially suitable for solving high-dimension and multimodal function optimization problems.

By defining unascertained measure model expectations, and combining the method of unascertained measure, it has been given by a kind of compatible comprehensive evaluation method of social benefit of science and technology information product and unascertained measure expectation model. And as an example of "super miniature camera technology", it has been given by the specific application of evaluation method and model, it was illustrated that the method is scientific and effective. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

To cope with the combat task allocation problems of aerial swarm, firstly, the assumption of battlefield environment was made. And the two multi-attribute principal parts of battlefield, swarm aerocraft (SA) and attacked target (AT) were analysed respectively. Secondly, based on comprehensive consideration of stealth and anti-stealth, attack and counter attack, multi-vehicle cooperation, etc., the objective function was established after analysing the costs and benefits that SA taking the task of reconnaissance, attack and assessment. Then, the task allocation model with the characteristics of multi-target, multi-task, multi-constrain, heterogeneous multi-aerocraft was established after considering some constrains, such as ammunition limit, etc. Based on binary wolf pack algorithm and a novel integer coding method which can better convey the information of the model, an integer coding wolf pack algorithm (ICWPA) was proposed to solve the task allocation model. The simulation results show that the model and the algorithm can effectively solve the combat task allocation problem of aerial swarm. Copyright © 2016 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Error spectrum is a comprehensive metric for evaluation of estimation performance in that it is an aggregation of many incomprehensive measures. However, error spectrum requires computing the expectation of the rth power of the estimation-error-norm as using it to evaluate an estimator's performance. Therefore unless the error distribution is given, it's usually not easy to obtain the error spectrum. To alleviate this difficulty, two approximation algorithms are proposed. One is the Gaussian mixture method, which calculated the error spectrum by capturing the probability density function. The other using the sample is the power means error method. Furthermore, how the Gaussian mixture method and power means error method can be used in estimation performance evaluation are analyzed not only in the large sample case but also in the small sample case. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the above two algorithms. It is shown that the two proposed algorithms can be applied easily to calculate the error spectrum in estimator performance evaluation. © 2015 Elsevier GmbH. All rights reserved.

The paper introduces a study in rearch of principles applicable to the real-time measurement of molten metal high temperature based on field programmable logic array (FPGA) and digital signal processor (DSP). The system uses image processing, colorimetric temperature measurement method, a rare gas blowing into, network communication and other technologies to solve the problems such as the difficulty of real-time measurement, the influenc of environmental temperature and dust, and the problem of communication with computer. A scheme of teleportation of the three-particle W entangled state via nonmaximally entangled Cluster state is proposed in the paper. Firstly, an auxiliary particle is introduced, and two particles in quantum channel carry out CNOT operation on it; secondly, distorted state caused by nonmaximally entangled quantum channel can be recovered by constructing unitary transform matrix; finally, the teleportation of entangled W state can be achieved with probability. The Bell measurement can be reduced and the resource of quantum channels can be saved for using one entangled Cluster state as quantum channel. © 2013 SPIE.

Seeking global optima of an unconstrained and multi-modal global optimization problem by constructing a filled function is tackled in this paper. by analyzing the property of the existing filled functions, a new filled function is proposed, and its properties are proved. Moreover, the numerical experiments show that the proposed filled function method is more effective than the compared one. © 2012 IEEE.

The wolf pack unites and cooperates closely to hunt for the prey in the Tibetan Plateau, which shows wonderful skills and amazing strategies. Inspired by their prey hunting behaviors and distribution mode, we abstracted three intelligent behaviors, scouting, calling, and besieging, and two intelligent rules, winner-take-all generation rule of lead wolf and stronger-survive renewing rule of wolf pack. Then we proposed a new heuristic swarm intelligent method, named wolf pack algorithm (WPA). Experiments are conducted on a suit of benchmark functions with different characteristics, unimodal/multimodal, separable/nonseparable, and the impact of several distance measurements and parameters on WPA is discussed. What is more, the compared simulation experiments with other five typical intelligent algorithms, genetic algorithm, particle swarm optimization algorithm, artificial fish swarm algorithm, artificial bee colony algorithm, and firefly algorithm, show that WPA has better convergence and robustness, especially for high-dimensional functions. © 2014 Hu-Sheng Wu and Feng-Ming Zhang.
