Soil samples collected around a nuclear installation in southwest China have been analyzed for U, Th and K using instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA). Samples were irradiated with an integral thermal neutron flux of 3×1017/cm2 in the high flux reactor at Nuclear Power Institute of China, Chengdu, China. The three elements have been determined from 150 samples by high-resolution gamma spectrometry. To evaluate the accuracy of analytical data, certified reference materials NIST SRM 1633a and GBW 07045 were analyzed together with unknown samples and the results were found to be in good agreement with certified values for these three elements. The results of correlation analysis for both the contents of the three elements and the Th/U ratio indicate that the nuclear field releases a little uranium to environment. Moreover, the results of size distribution indicate that the uranium and thorium contents are higher in clay than in other kinds of soil particles, especially for uranium.

The information extraction of geochemical anomalies data is the core task of the geochemical exploration. Using different ways to extract unusual information that differences will make the striking influence on anomaly scope. The article takes the in-situ X-ray fluorescence geochemical exploration soil sample data as an example in mountain of western Tianshan area of Xinjiang to try to popularize the content-summation method of multi fratical methods to fit calculation the five period of lineaments. According to the results, it is ensured that the lower limit of positive anomaly and the upper limit of negative anomaly of the As and Sr in study area. Combining with regional geological background of anomaly comprehensive explanation of the study area, and comparing with the traditional statistics method of delineating anomaly range, it was found that five zones fitting content-summation method get the high consistency on the positive anomaly delineated results, and make the expected effect in delineating the negative anomaly.

Power supply system of nuclear instrument has a great influence on the results of instrument's measurement, in order to minimize the effect; this paper proposes a scheme of multi-channel power monitoring on nuclear equipment. With ultralow power processor, MSP430F6638, as the core, including multi-channel modulation circuits, analog-to-digital conversion circuit, communication interface and display unit, etc. The scheme can monitor the power supply system of nuclear instrumentation, dynamic display the change of voltage. Once the threshold range is exceeded, an alarm is immediately prompted to avoid the decrease of reliability and accuracy on the measurement results. After testing, the design of low-power multipath monitoring system can in real-time monitor low voltage power, high voltage power, and can meet the requirements of the current nuclear instruments. ©, 2015, Atomic Energy Press.
