This article analyzes the significance of port logistics as well as factors influencing the development of Yangtze River port logistics. On this basis, a scientific evaluation system of the Yangtze River port logistics development and a principal component analysis model of the port logistics development level evaluation are established. Taking the ports group along the Yangtz river in Anhui province as an example, this article justifies the validity of the river port logistics development level evaluation system. © 2013 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

Bacterial contamination reduces the shelf-life of foods and presents serious risks to human health. Nanotechnology provides the opportunity for the development of new antibacterial agents. Nano-inorganic metal oxides have shown the potential to reduce bacterial contamination of foods. When the particle size of materials decreases from the micrometre to the nanometre range, nano-functional properties such as diffusivity, mechanical strength, chemical reactivity and biological properties are improved. Significantly, ZnO has been used in many applications with particular success. Many studies have shown that ZnO nanoparticles have enhanced antibacterial activity. This review discusses the main synthetic methods, antibacterial activity, antibacterial mechanisms and food applications of ZnO nanoparticles. © 2014 © 2014 Taylor & Francis.

The rising of logistic curve basically coincides with the development and growth of the tourist market. It has great advantages in improving forecast precision to use the logistic growth curve to fit the developing trend of the tourist market and to make forecast. The calculation method of K value is proposed in the paper according to the characteristics of curve symmetry. Based on this, a and r parameter values can be calculated and the logistic curve model of China's inbound market can be fitted by using the method of general curve regression. By the test of, fitting logistic curve regression meets the requirements. So logistic curve regression can be used as a general method for forecasting the tourist market. © 2013 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

Carrageenan-locust bean gum coated milk microspheres were developed to encapsulate the probiotic Lactobacillus bulgaricus (L.bulgaricus) with the aim of enhancing the probiotic survival numbers during exposure to the adverse environmental conditions of the gastro-intestinal tract. The results indicated that milk microspheres with double layer structure could improve the stability of L.bulgaricus in simulated gastro-intestinal conditions. The viability of encapsulated L.bulgaricus did not change after 2h incubation in simulated gastric fluid (SGF) pH 2.5. In SGF pH 2.0, the viability of encapsulated L.bulgaricus could be preserved more than 8LogCFU/g after 2h incubation. In 2g/100mL bile salt solution, encapsulated L.bulgaricus only suffered 1LogCFU/g viability reduction after 1h treatment, and 1.5LogCFU/g viability reductions after 2h treatment. Encapsulation could also improve the storage stability of encapsulated L.bulgaricus. The viability of encapsulated L.bulgaricus was kept constant after 1 month storage at 4°C. Milk microspheres had high release rate for L.bulgaricus in simulated intestine fluid (SIF), which could be totally released in 45min. This study presents a good encapsulation carrier which protects probiotic L.bulgaricus during exposure to adverse environment conditions. © 2013.

Supply chain risk management has drawn great attention from both researchers and practitioners in recent years. Economic globalization and the resultant complexity of the supply chain network plus the uncertainty of the environment makes risk and vulnerability a major challenge to related firms. This paper aims to establish a conceptual model for mitigating supply chain risk by introducing two variables named supply chain integration and organizational risk propensity. Based on extensive literature review, some major propositions are proposed including the following four aspects: supply chain risk is negatively related to supply chain integration; supply chain integration is positively related to company performance; organizational risk propensity moderates the relationship between supply chain risk and supply chain integration; the integrative model is moderated-mediation. The integrative model is theoretically valuable in further exploring the internal path and mechanism of the impact of supply chain risk on a firm's performance. The model is also practically useful in providing suggestions and references for supply chain risk management and supply chain integration. Finally, the future directions for empirical research are also presented. © 2015 Coastal Education and Research Foundation, Inc.

Owing to their considerable beneficial effects on human health, probiotics have been increasingly incorporated into food products. However, many findings have demonstrated that their survival and stability are very sensitive to processing and host gastrointestinal tract. To solve these problems, encapsulation techniques have been received considerable attention these days. So, in this review paper, methods for probiotics encapsulation, alginate-based and protein-based materials for probiotics encapsulation and application of encapsulated probiotics in food industry were discussed. © 2013 The Authors. This paper concentrates on the modelling and balance control of single-wheeled robot system. In that system, a wheel driven system is used to control the forward balance of robots, while a torque driven by the electric motor is used to control the lateral balance of robots. ODE (Open Dynamic Engine) is an open, free and high quality dynamic calculation engine (physics engine). Create the dynamic model with ODE in accordance with the dynamic analysis of that robot system and then verify the model through comprehensive analysis and simulation experiments. In this paper, the single-wheeled robot system achieves the stability control around the equilibrium point with fuzzy control method. The three-dimensional simulation experiment based on ODE could reflect the controlled process of robots and prove that the designed fuzzy controller is effective in the balance control of single-wheeled robots.

Date fruit has served as a staple food in the Arab world for centuries. Worldwide production of date fruit has increased almost threefold over the last 40 years, reaching 7.68 million tons in 2010. Date fruit can provide many essential nutrients and potential health benefits to the consumer. Date fruit goes through four ripening stages named kimri, khalal, rutab and tamer. The main chemical components of date fruit include carbohydrates, dietary fibre, enzymes, protein, fat, minerals, vitamins, phenolic acids and carotenoids. The chemical composition of date fruit varies according to ripening stage, cultivar, growing environment, postharvest conditions, etc. The nutritional and medicinal activities of date fruit are related to its chemical composition. Many studies have shown that date fruit has antioxidant, antimutagenic, anti-inflammatory, gastroprotective, hepatoprotective, nephroprotective, anticancer and immunostimulant activities. Various date fruit-based products such as date syrup, date paste, date juice and their derived products are available. Date by-products can be used as raw materials for the production of value-added products such as organic acids, exopolysaccharides, antibiotics, date-flavoured probiotic-fermented dairy produce, bakery yeasts, etc. In this paper the chemical composition and nutritional and medicinal values of date fruit as well as date fruit-based products are reviewed. © 2013 Society of Chemical Industry.

Nessler's reagent spectrophotometry method is used for determination of water quality ammonia nitrogen. The method is affected by many factors, of which Nessler's reagent is the most critical factor. Preparation and adding methods of Nessler's reagent influence the results of determination, which is based on the determination of absorbance and recovery test. Experimental results show that in the strict control of the speed and the amount of HgCl2 accession, we can get the best effect in the course of preparation of Nessler's reagent. Put a volume of standard solution into a 50mL colorimetric tube, add into Nessler's reagent when diluted with water to about 40mL and then add into water to the reticle (constant volume to 50mL). Determine the absorbance when colors are shown. Draw calibration curve with absorbance as ordinate and mass concentration of ammonia nitrogen as abscissa. The quality control effect of the determination of ammonia nitrogen can be improved by reducing uncertainties. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Build the performance evaluation index that combine with scientific qualitative and quantitative is very important. This article is under the research and design out the index system frame of performance evaluation. Moreover, it gets good effectiveness on the moral education management. At the same time, this article provides some strategies that aiming at the operation problems.
