A cutting tool has a housing. A blade bar projects forwards from the housing along a longitudinal axis. An electric drive motor drives the blade bar. At least one battery supplies the drive motor with electrical energy. The blade bar, the drive motor and the battery are mounted on the housing. The cutting tool has a top handle arranged above a center of gravity of the hedge trimmer, and a rear handle arranged behind the hedge-trimmer center of gravity. The battery is arranged on the housing at least mainly in front of the rear handle.

A guide bar for a saw chain has oppositely arranged outer side faces facing away from each other. A guide groove is formed on a peripheral edge of the guide bar and receives and guides the saw chain. The guide bar has a longitudinal center axis and extends lengthwise in a length direction along the longitudinal center axis. A rearward clamping end is provided for securing the guide bar. A leading deflecting section deflects the saw chain and the deflecting section is arranged opposite the rearward clamping end in the length direction. A cutout is formed between the rearward clamping end and the leading deflecting section. A weight-reducing insert is inserted into the cutout and is provided with external elevations that are projecting past a plane of the sides faces of the guide bar.

A two-stroke engine has a cylinder and a transfer channel which, in the region at bottom dead center of a piston, establishes a flow connection between a crankcase interior and the combustion chamber. The crankcase has a crankcase connecting flange for connecting to the cylinder, which has a first connecting opening and a second connecting opening. The transfer channel passes into the crankcase at the first connecting opening or the second connecting opening. At the other of the first and second connecting openings, no transfer channel passes into the crankcase. For a production series of two-stroke engines, provision is made, in one two-stroke engine of the series, which has a first cylinder, for a second connecting opening to be closed off from the cylinder, and, in one two-stroke engine of the series, which has a second cylinder, for the first connecting opening to be closed off by the cylinder.

A two-stroke engine is provided that has a cylinder, in which a combustion chamber is formed, and a piston, which delimits the combustion chamber and which drives a crankshaft rotatably mounted in a crankcase. The piston controls an inlet window for fuel/air mixture into the crankcase interior. A flow guide element is arranged in the crankcase interior which extends adjacent to the inlet window. The flow guide element has at least one first inflow surface by which at least a first partial quantity of the fuel/air mixture flowing in through the inlet window is diverted in the direction of the crankshaft.

A manually actuated feed pump is provided with a primer bulb to be manually actuated by an operator. The primer bulb has a pump chamber. A travel-controlled valve connects the pump chamber to a fuel line. The travel-controlled valve has a valve member that is moved by an actuation travel of the primer bulb into an open position that opens the travel-controlled valve. A first spring is operatively connected to the valve member and to the primer bulb. The primer bulb acts through the first spring on the valve member.

A hand-guided power tool is provided with an internal combustion engine that has a cylinder and a piston disposed in the cylinder and delimiting together with the cylinder a combustion chamber. A connecting rod connects the piston and the crankshaft. The piston in operation of the internal combustion engine rotatably drives the crankshaft. An electronic control unit and an ignition device with a spark plug are provided. A support is fixedly connected to the crankshaft and a signal transducer is fixedly connected to the support. The ignition device, utilizing a signal generated by the at least one signal transducer, fires the spark plug at a timing which is predetermined by the electronic control unit. The support has a polygonal conical receptacle and the crankshaft has a corresponding polygonal conical section arranged in the polygonal conical receptacle to fixedly connect the support and the crankshaft to each other.

The inertia ring is made of a first material having a first density and the base member is made of a second material having a second density. The first density is greater than the second density. The invention relates to a handheld tool which has a drive motor (14), which rotationally drives an implement (4) by means of a belt drive (70). The belt drive (70) has at least one first, driving pulley (27) and at least one second, driven pulley (28). At least one drive belt (31, 32) acts between the first pulley (27) and the second pulley (28) in order to transmit the drive torque. A second pulley (28) is connected to the implement (4) in a rotationally fixed manner. During operation, the rotational speed of the second pulley (28) is less than the rotational speed of the first pulley (27). The tool has a braking device (25), which acts on the first pulley (27). The belt drive (70) comprises at least one deflecting roller (35, 36). In the event of braking, at least one deflecting roller (35, 36) lies against the load run (66, 68) of each drive belt (31, 32) that acts between the first pulley (27) and the second pulley (28). A simple design and secure breaking of the implement (4) are thereby enabled.

The invention relates to a hand-held implement having a drive motor (14) which drives a tool (4) in rotation by means of a belt drive (70). The belt drive (70) has at least one first, driving belt pulley (27) and at least one second, driven belt pulley (28). A second belt pulley (28) is non-rotatably connected to the tool (4). The rotational speed of the second belt pulley (28) in operation is less than the rotational speed of the first belt pulley (27). The implement has a braking device (25) which acts on the belt drive (70). At least one first drive belt (31) of a first drive stage and a second drive belt (32) of a second drive stage act between the first belt pulley (27) and the second belt pulley (28) for transmission of the driving torque. The first drive belt (31) and the second drive belt (32) each effect a reduction in the rotational speed. The belt drive (70) comprises at least one deflecting roller (35, 36) which bears against at least one drive belt (32). In this way braking of the tool (4) is made possible regardless of the rotational speed of the tool.
