Design of medical X-ray equipment still poses a number of unsolved problems. The solution of these problems would greatly enhance the diagnostic capacity of X-ray devices and minimize the radiation load on patients. The possibility of yearly diagnosis of diabetes mellitus type 1 is discussed. An experimental method for therapy and rehabilitation of diabetes mellitus is suggested. The method includes high-temperature resolution (up to 0.001°C) in the Mayo-Robson point. This allows monitoring of the inflammatory process in the pancreas and monitoring of therapy efficacy. A 1-year rehabilitation provides insulin-dependent healing of chronic disease. © 2010 Springer Science+Business Media, Inc.
