Grid computing and cloud technologies are used for distributed computing in scientific domains like physics, chemistry, biology, meteorology, earth sciences, engineering, industry, and even in army. In this paper the current status of Grid and High Performance (HPC) activities in RO-16-UAIC site will be presented. It is underlined the infrastructure and the results recently obtained at the RO-16-UAIC site, which supports grid production for the ATLAS virtual organization. The issue of EMI software upgrade for computing element and work nodes it is discussed. At upgrade of Torque software from 2.5 to 4.10 appeared some problems of incompatibility and dependency witch influenced the functionality of site grid. Other issues which is presented in the paper it is about the network problem of RO-16-UAIC in LHCONE network. © 2015 Nat'l Inst. for Research and Development for Isotopic and Molecular Technology. Documenting android projects and synchronizing the help pages with the current stage of the project is a time consuming task, especially for complex projects developed by larger teams. Keeping the website of the project synchronized with the current development is even more difficult, since usually the two components are maintained by different people or teams. This paper proposes an automated documentation system based on a wiki that is filled by contributors, and a software system that extracts the info from the wiki and builds a set of HTML help pages that are incorporated automatically in the project with every new version. The documentation system is not project specific, and offers the following advantages over maintaining the help pages by hand: the help system automatically reflects the current content of the wiki; the help system of the app is independent of the network; every version of the software keeps a set of help pages specific to the development stage of that version. In this work a multifunctional textile material was realized by means of two pad-dry-cure treatments. The first treatment made use of a tetrol (Tetronic 701) in the padding stage and it resulted in excellent cotton cleaning effects, materialized in the increase of its wettability. The second treatment was performed with monochlorotriazine β-cyclodextrin (MCT-β-CD) at concentrations of 9-15%, in the presence of 2.5-3.0% Na2CO 3 as catalyst. The presence of MCT-β-CD on the cotton fabric was confirmed by the results of the spectroscopic (FT-IR, XPS) and calorimetric/thermo-grauimetric analyses (DSG/TGA). The qualitative test with phenolphthalein indicated the formation of a compound with the inclusion of cellulose grafted with Tetronic 701 inside the MCT-β-CD taper cavity. The MCT-β-CD presence on the support already grafted with Tetronic 701 determined the preservation of textile support wettability and a significant improvement of the wrinkle-proofing capacity. The wrinkle-recovering angles (WRA) registered values between 205 and 246 degrees, i.e. much higher than those of the witness (WRA<185). The increase of wettability was confirmed by the lower values of the angles at the contact with water and by high values of water absorption through capillarity. Source

The product 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropylstearate (CHPS) was used for durable hydrophobic finishing of cotton fabrics dyed with Reactive Blue 19, Vat Blue 4 and Direct Red 95. The hydrophobization compound used in this study was easy to synthesize, inexpensive and effective. The presence of CHPS on hydrophobic treated cellulose fiber was put into evidence by FTIR analysis. The hydrophobicity of treated sample was proved by water contact angles values and absorption times of the water drops. The best water water contact angle (150 degrees) and the best absorption time of water drop (180 min) were obtained for the samples treated with 60g/L CHPS. The effects of CHPS on chromatic parameters, colour fastness of dyed samples and comfort index (air permeability, hygroscopicity, rigidity) were evaluated. Source

The atmospheric-air plasma pre-treatment (the DBD method) determined the creation of a polar group, thus improving the reactivity of some textile supports. The experiments were carried out on fabrics made of 100% polyester (PET) and PET blended with cotton. The subsequent chemical treatment, consisting in grafting three long-chains substances rich in functional groups, occurred much easier. The grafting agents were applied on the textile material pre-treated with plasma, through three successive pad-dry-cure technologies. The FTIR analysis set off the modifications appeared both after the plasma treatment, and at the end of the chemical treatment. The comparative analysis of the contact angles, wrinkle-recovering angles, breaking stresses, treatment durability, dyeability and color measurements was performed on textile supports, both untreated and treated with plasma and then grafted. It was found that the performed physico-chemical treatments are complementary and they have a synergetic effect, resulting in the increase of wettability, dyeability, durability and WRA values.
