Analytical hydromechanics is applied to the dynamic properties of hydraulic systems. This approach is based on analytical mechanics, the theory of nonlinear oscillations, and optimal-decision theory. A mathematical model of interacting hydrodynamic and mechanical processes in centrifugal pumps is formulated, so as to study the dynamics of such pumps and the hydraulic systems in which they are employed. The hydraulic characteristics of a special centrifugal pump are calculated on the basis of the model, using a corresponding numerical algorithm and software. © 2010 Allerton Press, Inc. Source
