A modified expression for the Andreev reflection coefficient is derived taking into account strong electronphonon interactions. A dependence of the superconducting order parameter ∆σ is numerically modeled for magnesium diboride. The current-voltage characteristics and the dI/dV spectra of the dynamic conductivity of superconductor-normal metal-superconductor (SNS) contacts based on strongly coupled superconductors are calculated for the Averin–Bardas model using the modified Andreev reflection coefficient (on an example of magnesium diboride). Calculations are performed for the mode of high transparency (0.9–0.98). The special features of the SNS contacts based on strongly coupled superconductors are shown. © 2016 Springer Science+Business Media New York Source

In the theory of hyperbolic PDEs, the boundary-value problems with conditions on the entire boundary of the domain serve typically as the examples of the ill-posedness. The paper shows the unique solvability of the Dirichlet problem in the cylindric domain for the multidimensional wave equation. In the present work the numerical and analytical methods of research of the corpuscular and optical systems (COS) allowing to carry out calculation of wide beams of charged particles have been developed. The differential equations describing the deflection of particles of a beam from an axial trajectory for any COS whose axial trajectory possesses torsion, and also for the COS having the mean plane with a flat axial trajectory have been received. When carrying out calculations these equations are integrated numerically together with the differential equations for an axial trajectory, which allows to receive high accuracy of calculations. Also general focusing and dispersive properties of the COS possessing the mean plane have been investigated. For calculation of COS of reflex type Newton's dimensionless equations are used.Analytical expressions for potentials describing electric and magnetic fields of various COS, including COS with transaxial and axial symmetry, have been received by methods of the theory of functions of a complex variable. The work also develops an original method of calculation of trajectories of charged particles movement in fringe fields of flat and cylindrical condensers.By means of the developed methods calculation of instrument characteristics of new schemes of static and the time-of-flight mass analyzers has been carried out.Thus, the work shows the fruitfulness of an adequate combination of analytical and numerical methods for the solution of problems of optics of charged particles. © 2016 Elsevier Inc. Inverse problems for hyperbolic equations are found in geophysical prospecting and seismology, and their multidimensional analogues are especially important for applied work. However, whereas results have been established for the some narrow classes of hyperbolic equations, no results exist for more general classes. This paper proves the solvability of the inverse problem for a general class of multidimensional hyperbolic equations. Our approach consists of properly choosing the shape of the overidentifying condition that is needed to determine the right-hand side of the hyperbolic PDE and then applying the Fourier series method. We are then able to establish the results of the existence of solution for the cases when the unknown right-hand side is time- independent or space independent.
