The present invention relates to a method for triggering image capture by a group of simultaneously X-ray exposed multiple wirelessly interlinked self -triggering direct radiography (DR) detector assemblies, comprising the steps of performing an initiation step to identify said group of participating DR detector assemblies prior to X-ray exposure, detecting said X-ray exposure by a first participating DR detector assembly, said first participating DR detector assembly performing a trigger step to signal all participating DR detector assemblies to start image capture.

According to an embodiments, the invention relates to a n X-ray system (800) for taking an X-ray image of an object. The system comprises an X-ray source (808), an X-ray detector (811), depth camera(s) (801 ) covering at least an area covered by an X-ray bundle and configured to obtain depth images (852) and a client device (851) comprising a display adapted to display an impression image (854) to a user. The invention relates to a method and an according apparatus and system for analyzing medical images of blood vessels, said method comprising the following steps: a) classifying a surrounding of at least one vessel represented in at least one medical image by applying a first classifier to the medical image, whereby the surrounding of the vessel is assigned to one of at least two surrounding classes, and b) segmentation of the at least one vessel dependent on the surrounding class to which the surrounding of the vessel has been assigned. The invention allows for a reliable segmentation and/or shape detection, in particular bifurcation detection, of blood vessels represented in medical images.

A visual indication is generated of depth locations of slices obtained by applying a reconstruction algorithm in a computed tomography method with given settings, the display being shown on the object, e.g. on the patients lateral side or in close relation to the patient.

A scintillator comprising CsBrxl(1-X) doped with Europium (CsBrxl(1-X):Eu) wherein xxl(1-X):Eu material at a temperature from 50 C to 280 C characterised in that the EPR spectrum of the so obtained scintillator measured at room temperature at a frequency of 34 GHz, shows a maximum in signal height at a magnetic field of 1200 mT, the signal height at 1090 mT and 1140 mT not exceeding 40%, wherein the normalised signal height percentage at 1200 mT is calculated to be 100%. The scintillator is useful in high energy radiation detection and radiography imaging apparatus.
