A method and apparatus for providing assistance for an application. The application runs in a web browser displayed on a display system for a client device. The application monitors for user input to the web browser. When assistance is needed for a location in the web page, the location is identified based on the user input. A graphical element with a portion of the web page at the location is generated. A group of audio files on how to use the application at the location is identified. The graphical element with the portion of the web page at the location is displayed on the display system. The audio files are played on the client device while the graphical element with the portion of the web page at the location of the web page is displayed. The audio files and the graphical element provide the assistance.


A palette generator generates a set of color palettes displaying a graphical user interface on a display system. The palette generator identifies a principal color and an accent color for. The palette generator then identifies a set of interactivity colors based on an application of a set of rules to at least one of the principal color and the accent color. The palette generator identifies a set of data visualization colors based on an application of a set of rules to at least one of the principal color, the accent color, and the set of interactivity colors. The palette generator then generates a set of color palettes from the principal color, the accent color, the set of interactivity colors, and the set of data visualization colors. The display system then displays the graphical user interface according to one of the set of color palettes.

A method for computer security. A gallery comprising a first identity of a first human person is maintained, the first identity associated with a plurality of tags, with first properties, useful for identifying the first human person. A first Internet search for facial images of the first human person is performed using the plurality of tags. A first facial image is selected from the results of this search. A second Internet search is performed for facial images of other human persons based on second properties that are generated by modifying the first properties of the plurality of tags. A plurality of additional facial images of the other human persons retrieved by the second Internet search is selected. A palette of randomized facial images including the first facial image together with the plurality of additional facial images is presented. Access is denied unless the correct facial image is selected.


Methods and systems for the collecting and monitoring of information related to the performance of application programming interfaces (APIs) are provided. A method includes obtaining one or more various measurements of performance of the APIs, and assessing a performance status for each API based on the obtained one or more various measurements of performance. The method further includes displaying, the performance status for each API and the APIs, and searching for a particular API of the displayed APIs using a search technique configured to compare a keyword indicative of the particular API to all fields of JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) objects that have been used to define the APIs. The method further includes displaying the particular API including the performance status for the particular API, the one or more various measurements of performance for the particular API, and methods of the particular API, as a result of the searching.

RESCCUE aims to deliver a framework enabling city resilience assessment, planning and management by integrating into software tools new knowledge related to the detailed water-centred modelling of strategic urban services performance into a comprehensive resilience platform. These tools will assess urban resilience from a multisectorial approach, for current and future climate change scenarios and including multiple hazards. The project will review and integrate in the general framework existing options to assess climate change impacts and urban systems vulnerabilities allowing to assess multisectorial dependencies under multiple climate change scenarios. An adaptation strategies portfolio, including climate services, ecosystem-based approaches and resource efficiency measures will be incorporated as key components of the deployment strategy. The possible approaches will be ranked by their cost-efficiency in terms of CAPEX and OPEX to evaluate their benefits potential. This will enable city managers and urban system operators deciding the optimal investments to cope with future situations. The validation platform is formed by 3 EU cities (Barcelona, Lisboa and Bristol) that will allow testing the innovative tools developed in the project and disseminating their results among other cities belonging to major international networks. In terms of market potential, RESCCUE will generate large potential benefits, in terms of avoided costs during and after emergencies, that will contribute to their large-scale deployment. The structure of the consortium will guarantee the market uptake of the results, as the complete value chain needed is already represented. The project is coordinated by Aquatec, a large consultancy firm part of a multinational company focused on securing and recovering resources, and includes partners from the research domain, operation of critical urban systems, city managers and international organisations devoted to urban resilience.


InteGrids vision is to bridge the gap between citizens, technology and the other players of the energy system. The project will demonstrate how DSOs may enable all stakeholders to actively participate in the energy market and distribution grid management and develop and implement new business models, making use of new data management and consumer involvement approaches. Moreover, the consortium will demonstrate scalable and replicable solutions in an integrated environment that enables DSOs to plan and operate the network with a high share of DRES in a stable, secure and economic way, using flexibility inherently offered by specific technologies and by interaction with different stakeholders. To achieve these objectives, a complementary partnership covering the distribution system value chain has been established. The consortium includes three DSOs from different countries and their retailers, innovative ICT companies and equipment manufacturers as well as customers, a start-up in the area of community engagement and excellent R&D institutions. InteGrids concepts and approaches are based on the these two elements: 1. the role of the DSO as system optimiser and as market facilitator and 2. the integration of existing demonstration activities in three different regions allowing to move from single solutions to an integrated management at a higher scale while focusing on the scalability and replicability considering current and evolving market (and regulatory) conditions. The three conceptual pillars proactive operational planning with DER, business models for flexible DER, information exchange between different power system actors offer an opportunity to maximize the economic, societal and environmental gains from the combined integration of DRES and flexible DER. A market hub platform coupled with smart grid functions and innovative business models will open opportunities for new services and an effective roll-out of emerging technologies in the short-term.
