According to the two-dimensional numerical simulation of dam/dyke break flood propagation over complex topography, an unstructured finite-volume model, which integrates the source terms and the moving wet/dry fronts, was developed based on the two-dimensional shallow hydrodynamics. To overcome the shortage of conventional techniques for treating bed slope term when facing convoluted topography, the influence of bed slope term both on mass flux and on momentum flux was investigated, and then an approximate Riemann solver which integrates the bed slop terms was adopted to calculate the numerical fluxes. The stiff problem due to friction terms was analyzed, and a semi-implicit scheme was used to deal this stiff problem. The moving boundary problem was managed effectively by using a new reconstruction method and solving a "mirror wet cell" Riemann problem at the wet/dry front. Numerical results of test examples showed that the proposed model was stable and robust, and was well balanced, thus having a bright application prospects.

Established geomagnetic base station nearby or in the survey area can provide appropriate diurnal variation correction. It aimed to finish or decrease geomagnetic diurnal influence in marine magnetic survey. G882 and Sentinel magnetometer are used as base station for many years. On the basis of that, the two type instruments have comparative analyzed in many aspects such as the operating principle, instrument technology performance, using the experience work, etc. The results show that, Sentinel magnetometer should be first chosen in diurnal observation, because it is more suitable to working situation and its flexibility is stronger.

We propose a river flow spreading model based on CA in this paper. In the model, we process the boundary based on the feature of river DEM, and define the transition rules according to Manning Equation in the field of hydrology. According to the character that CA can simulate the dynamic process of space complex system, we simulate the dynamic process of river flow from up-section to down-section, then we compute the river storage when the water levels of up-section and down-section meet the requirements. The experimental results show that the method of computing river storage based on CA is feasible.
