Zinc oxide films were grown on sapphire substrates by direct current magnetron sputtering and irradiated by electrons with energy 10 MeV and fluences 1016 and 2 × 1016 cm-2. As-grown and irradiated samples were investigated by X-ray Diffraction and photoluminescence spectroscopy. It was found that radiation causes the appearance of complex defects, reducing the size of coherent scattering regions and the increase of the defect PL band.

The structure of 29-dimensional extended real Clifford - Dirac algebra, which has been introduced in our paper Phys. Lett. A. 375 (2011) 2479, is under consideration. With the help of this algebra the property of Fermi - Bose duality of the Dirac equation with nonzero mass is proved. It means that Dirac equation can describe not only the fermions but also the bosons. The proof of our assertion on the examples of bosonic symmetries, solutions and conservation laws is given. On this basis the relation of the Dirac equation to the electromagnetic theory is considered. © 2012 IEEE.

The effect of X-ray irradiation of doses up to 2000 Gy on the spectral dependence of optical absorption (OA) has been investigated for single-crystal and glassy Li2B4O7 (LTB) and Li 2B4O7:Cu (LTB:Cu). The irradiation of LTB:Cu single crystals leads to an increase of the OA intensity of the impurity bands and to formation of the induced OA band in the 3.3-4.3 eV range, whose spectral maximum shifts towards the lower-energy region with the dose increase. The irradiation of glassy LTB and LTB:Cu results in an increase of OA and, for LTB:Cu, in a shift of its short-wave edge towards the lower-energy region. © 2014 Elsevier B.V.

The derivation of the Dirac and Maxwell equations from the first principles of relativistic canonical quantum mechanics (RCQM) is demonstrated. The formalism of the RCQM is constructed on the basis of a self-consistent system of axioms. The important conclusion, that an arbitrary physical and mathematical information, which contains in the model of RCQM, directly and unambiguously is translated into the corresponding information in the model given by the Dirac equation, is formulated. © 2012 IEEE.

Here we report on the results of the adenine molecule excitation by slow electrons. We have studied the emission spectrum and measured the optical excitation functions at maximum and at the edge of the emission spectrum. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
